ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD AN ANNUAL SOD CONTRACT TO MULTIPLE VENDORS
REQUEST: Authorization to award an annual sod contract to Odums Sod, Inc. and Agricultural Land Services, Inc. in the amount of approximately $480,000.00 annually.

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department utilizes various types of sod to main facilities throughout the Village.
On February 4, 2021, the Village released ITB #202111 seeking qualified vendors to provide various types of sod throughout the Village. On March 1, 2021, the Village received two (2) proposals meeting the required specifications.
The Public Works Department recommends awarding contracts to Odums Sod, a Western Community local vendor, and to Agricultural Land Services, a Palm Beach County local vendor, at an estimated cost of $480,000.00 annually. Unit prices are shown on Exhibit A.
The initial term of the contract is for two (2) years from date of award with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
Prior year sod expenditures were $476, 208.75.
