REQUEST:                     Authorization to continue utilizing independent contractor agreements with tennis professionals to provide tennis instruction.

EXPLANATION:                     The tennis center currently utilizes independent contractors as tennis professionals to provide tennis instruction for private lessons, conduct clinics, tennis summer camps, etc.  On August 13, 2019, Council authorized entering into nine (9) separate independent contractor agreements. Two (2) of those independent contractors are no longer providing services.  In order to meet current service requirements, we have entered into three (3) additional independent contractor agreements (list of names attached).

 

The estimated annual revenue generated by these independent contractor agreements exceed $25,000; therefore, pursuant to Purchasing policies and procedures, Council approval is required.
