ITEM: RESOLUTION NO. R2021-07 (WELLINGTON SENIORS CLUB AGREEMENT)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA'S COUNCIL APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICES BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND THE WELLINGTON SENIORS CLUB, INC.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of the Annual Agreement between Wellington and the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. for FY 2021.

EXPLANATION: Wellington has maintained an agreement with the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. (WSC) for the past seventeen (17) years, providing senior citizen services within Wellington. During this period, WSC's membership has grown to over 700 members. In exchange for providing both meeting space and funding assistance, the WSC provides monthly meetings, newsletters, social/recreational programming and special events for Wellington seniors.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, during this past year, many of the activities, programs and events typically held by the WSC for seniors were cancelled. The Village has budgeted and approved funding for the WSC in an amount not to exceed fifty-six thousand, two hundred dollars ($56,200) for FY 2021 to assist CLUB in providing cultural and recreational services as provided for herein.
If approved, Wellington will disburse to WSC the sum of $27,827.44 as reimbursement to WSC for funds expended from October, 2020 through May, 2021. Following Wellington's fiscal year ending September 30, 2021, WSC will submit an invoice to Wellington for additional expenses incurred by WSC between June 1, 2021 and September 30, 2021 and Wellington will reimburse WSC for such expenses so long as the total sum paid to WSC for the 2020-2021 fiscal year ending September 30, 2021, does not exceed $56,200.00
The Agreement provides for:
* A one-year term from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021.
* Payment not to exceed $56,200.00 to the Wellington Seniors Club.
