ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF ONE SKID STEER LOADER; AND AUTHORIZATION TO DISPOSE OF EXISTING SURPLUS EQUIPMENT
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) contract FSA20-EQU18.0: Heavy Equipment, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of one (1) skid steer loader, from Kelly Tractor Co, in the amount of $57,400; and authorization to dispose of existing surplus equipment pursuant to Village disposition policies.

EXPLANATION: In accordance with the approved equipment schedule, staff is requesting authorization to purchase a Fiscal Year 2021 budgeted skid steer loader. The skid steer loader will be used for various landscaping projects located throughout the Village.
The Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) offers statewide purchasing contracts on a variety of vehicles, equipment, and services that are available to all eligible agencies. Under this contract, award is made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Additionally, Staff is seeking authorization to dispose of existing surplus equipment (see below), which will be replaced by the purchase of equipment listed above. All surplus equipment will be sold on GovDeals.com, the Village's contracted public auction website.
