A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE THE SEVENTH ADDENDUM TO THE FY 2021 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2021-38 for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office District 8 Wellington Seventh Addendum to the FY 2021 Law Enforcement Services Agreement.

EXPLANATION: The Parties wish to amend the FY 2021 contract to reflect adjustments in staffing levels. Such adjustments include the elimination of the Real Time Crime Center Analyst position, which was never filled, reclassification of the Criminal Justice Planner to Criminal Intelligence Analyst, the elimination of the K9 and the reclassification of the K9 Deputy to a Deputy Sheriff, as set forth in Seventh Addendum to the Law Enforcement Services Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit “A.”
Staff recommends that the Village Council approve the proposed Seventh Addendum to FY 2021 Law Enforcement Services Agreement between the Village of Wellington and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

FISCAL IMPACT: The 7th Addendum proposes a total cost of personnel and equipment in the amount of $2,489,514.00 for services from July 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021. This reflects the credit due Wellington for the Real Time Crime Center Analyst position that was not filled.
