EXPLANATION:                     Chapter 38, Code of Ordinances authorizes the Village Council of Wellington, Florida to adopt fee schedules for parks and recreation facilities by resolution.

The Parks and Recreation fees are regularly evaluated and in the event revisions are necessary, are presented to Council for approval.

Attached as “Exhibit A”, is the revised Parks and Recreation fee schedule. Revisions include incorporating pricing for the rental of sand volleyball courts at Village Park and Greenbriar Park, adding rental fees for the Promenade behind the Wellington Community Center, and adding rental rates for the Wellington Tennis Center and tennis courts at Greenview Shores Park (Wellington High School).

In addition, a slight reduction in WCC room rental fees are being proposed, as well as the removal of deposit requirements for events not including food.  Such revisions are proposed in an attempt to increase rental opportunities.
