ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE MULTIPLE CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF A VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT; AND AUTHORIZATION TO DISPOSE OF EXISTING SURPLUS EQUIPMENT

EXPLANATION: In accordance with approved equipment schedules, staff is requesting authorization to purchase FY 2022 budgeted vehicle and equipment. Purchases for the vehicle and equipment are specified below from the authorized dealer at the lowest possible cost. In order to ensure the best possible pricing, staff obtained multiple competitive quotes from Florida Sheriff’s Association contracts as well as Sourcewell contracts. The lowest price for the vehicle and equipment is summarized below:

All replacement vehicles/equipment are in accordance with the Village’s FY 2022 replacement schedules. In addition, staff is seeking authorization to dispose of existing surplus equipment (see above). All surplus equipment will be sold on GovDeals.com, the Village’s contracted public auction website.
