ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT WITH SULLIVAN ELECTRIC & PUMP, INC., FOR REPAIRS TO VARIOUS PUMPS AND MOTORS
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize a Palm Beach County contract with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc., as a basis for pricing, for pump and motor repairs at sanitary lift stations, the water plant, the water reclamation facility, raw water supply wells, and remote booster stations in an amount not to exceed $100,000.

EXPLANATION: The Utility Department is seeking authorization to utilize a Palm Beach County contract for repairs of various types of pumps and motors on an as needed basis. There are approximately 350 pumps and motors of various sizes and types that are maintained by the Utility. These pumps and motors are critical to Utility's continuity of service.
On August 7, 2020, Palm Beach County awarded contract #20019 to Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. for irrigation pump stations and repair services. Palm Beach County recently exercised the first renewal option effective through November 1, 2022 with no price increases. The contract allows for three (3) additional twelve (12) month renewal options.
Staff is requesting authorization to utilize the Palm Beach County contract #20019, as a basis for pricing, with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for fiscal year 2022.
Prior year expenditures were approximately $51,000
