ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD CONTRACTS FOR ANNUAL LAB ANALYSES
REQUEST: Authorization to award contracts for annual lab analyses services, in the amount of $160,000 ($60,000 for Public Works and $100,000 for Utilities) for FY 2021-2022.

EXPLANATION: On August 24, 2021, Wellington released ITB #202119 Annual Lab Analyses on Demandstar, seeking qualified bidders to provide specialized lab analyses for the Village’s Water Reclamation Facility, Water Treatment Plant and Surface Water Management program. The services provided as part of this contract are required as part of the Village’s compliance with the Florida Department of Health, Department of Environmental Protection, and South Florida Water Management District regulations. The services provided, include analysis beyond the capabilities of our internal laboratory.
The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington’s website. On September 22, 2021, two (2) proposals were received. Staff recommends awarding to a primary and secondary vendor to provide the services as follows:
