EXPLANATION:                     On September 15, 2019, Wellington released Bid #201918 for the purchase and delivery of public works chemicals. On October 9, 2019, three (3) proposals meeting the required specifications were received, and staff awarded contracts to all three (3) vendors, (Howard Fertilizer and Chemicals, Helena Agricultural Enterprises, LLC, and Site One Landscape Supply, LLC) on a primary and secondary basis, for each product.

Staff is seeking authorization to exercise the second renewal option, through December 8, 2022 with Howard Fertilizer and Chemicals, for the purchase and delivery of public works chemicals, with a minor price increase. The financial impact of the price increase amounts to $10,400 annually, which is approximately 4.55% higher than last year’s expenditures.
