ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW EXISTING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF MOSQUITO CHEMICALS

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department utilizes chemicals to provide mosquito control services throughout the Village.
On January 13, 2020, Council awarded ITB #202004 for the purchase and delivery of mosquito chemicals. The initial term of the contract was for two (2) years with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal options. Staff is requesting authorization to exercise the first renewal option through January 13, 2023, with a minimal price increase as shown on Exhibit A.
The chemical subject to the proposed increase poses a minimal financial impact to the Village of approximately $387.20 annually.
Pursuant to the Special Terms and Conditions of the bid document, price increases are permitted during the renewal period, upon mutual agreement between the Village and the vendor.
Staff is requesting authorization to renew existing contracts with Adapco, LLC and Clarke Mosquito Control Products, Inc., for the purchase and delivery of mosquito chemicals, with a minimal price increase.
Prior year expenditures are $62,314.00.
