ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE VARIOUS CONTRACTS FOR THE MARGATE PARK PLAYGROUND PROJECT
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize various contracts for the Margate Park playground project at a cost of approximately $201,967.10.

EXPLANATION: On September 13, 2021, Council approved Resolution No. R2021-55 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) grant. The FDEP administers the FRDAP Program to provide grants for outdoor recreational activities. The Village was awarded $50,000 for the Margate Park project. The Project includes demolition of the existing playground site, in preparation for new poured in place surfacing, a playground structure, swings and concrete sidewalks to meet ADA standards.
Pursuant to the Village's Purchasing Manual, the goods and services below are allowable based on the procurement noted. However, since the total project expenditures exceed $50,000, Council approval is required. The following contracts will be utilized for this project:
