EXPLANATION: On September 28, 2021, Council awarded an engineering services contract (RFQ 202121) to multiple vendors. As part of the solicitation, Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. was selected as one of Wellington's engineering consulting service providers. Staff is seeking authorization to utilize such contract with Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. to provide engineering design and bid phase consulting services for the Wastewater Lift Station 16 Rehabilitation Project.

The purpose of this task order is to provide design and bid phase consulting services to rehabilitate Lift Station No. 16. Lift Station No. 16 is located on the south side of Wellington Trace, adjacent to the parking lot of the Corporate Center, just east of the intersection of Wellington Trace and Greenview Shores Boulevard. Lift Station 16 is considered a Master Station due to the area it serves. This project will completely rehabilitate the existing lift station and add a permanent emergency generator. This design is included in the approved Utility Capital Improvement Plan. Construction is planned for FY23.

Staff recommends awarding a task order to Mock, Roos, & Associates, Inc. to provide engineering consulting services the Village of Wellington's Wastewater Lift Station No. 16 Rehabilitation project for a cost of $70,620.
