EXPLANATION: Wellington High School student Tessie Goron was an April recipient of the Philanthropy Tank Project Award and $9,000 to implement her winning project.
Philanthropy Tank works to empower and inspire the next generation of CHANGEmakers by challenging students to implement sustainable service-driven solutions to problems impacting our community. Tessie’s project, titled Drop the Vape, was inspired after witnessing students vaping in middle and high school restrooms. The program is aimed at decreasing the number of teen vape users in Palm Beach County by establishing a new educational course for students caught with vape devices on school campuses.
