EXPLANATION: Pursuant to RFQ #202113, on May 11, 2021, the Village Council awarded a continuing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract to Wharton-Smith, Inc.

Staff is seeking authorization to issue a GMP amendment for the Booster Stations and High Service Pump Improvements - Booster Station Improvements Phase I Project. This project includes the following items at Booster Station 1 and 2: exterior repairs and coatings on the ground storage tanks, exterior and interior coatings on booster station facilities, and lighting upgrades. The project also includes the purchase of three (3) high service pumps and minor drainage improvements at Booster Station 1. There are no owner direct purchases and Substantial Completion has been established at 243 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Work under this project was previously approved in the Utility Capital Budget and current funding for this project is approximately $732,000. This requires a budget reassignment, in the amount of $100,000, from an available, previously approved Utility Department capital funding source.
