ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN AQUATICS FACILITY

EXPLANATION: Pursuant to the Consultant’s Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) FS 287.055, the Village released RFQ# 202214, on April 26, 2022 seeking qualifications from firms interested in providing architectural and engineering services for the construction of an Aquatic Complex. On June 23, 2022 the Village received six (6) responsive and responsible submittals.
On July 13, 2022, the selection committee scored and ranked the submittals, short-listing three firms for presentation/interview sessions. On July 27, 2022, the selection committee conducted such sessions with the three short-listed firms. Subsequently the committee re-scored and re-ranked each as follows:
1. Ohlson Lavoie Corporation
2. Song & Associates, Inc.
3. Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC
Based on the results of the scoring, the committee is recommending negotiations with Ohlson Lavoie Corporation.
Staff is seeking authorization to negotiate a contract with Ohlson Lavoie Corporation for the Architectural and Engineering Services for the Construction of an Aquatics Facility.
Any negotiated contract will be presented to the Village Council for award and execution at an upcoming Council meeting.
