A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPOINTING NEW SPECIAL MAGISTRATE(S) IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 2-203 OF WELLINGTON’S CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2022-43 appointing one (1) or more Special Magistrate(s) to a two (2) year term ending in Fiscal Year 2024.

EXPLANATION: On June 19, 2022, Wellington released a Request for Letters of Interest (LOI) for Special Magistrate services seeking qualified candidates to provide such services to Wellington. On July 20, 2022, Wellington received three (3) submittals.
Wellington presently has two (2) Special Magistrates serving staggered terms and is looking to appoint one (1) or more additional Special Magistrates to hear and decide Code Compliance cases pursuant to Section 2-203 of the Code of Ordinances.
The three (3) submittals are presented to the Wellington Council for review and final selection.
