A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE, DIVISION OF ARTS AND CULTURE FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING A GRANT UNDER PROVISIONS OF THE GENERAL SUPPORT PROGRAM GRANT FOR AMPHITHEATER PROGRAMMING; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2022-49 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture for the General Support Program Grant for Amphitheater.

EXPLANATION: The Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture administers the General Support Program to support the general program activities of an organization that is realizing its stated mission and furthering the state’s cultural objectives by conducting, creating, producing, presenting, staging, or sponsoring cultural exhibits, performances, educational programs, or events. The General Support Program Grant includes funding of $150,000 with a $150,000 match from Wellington.
Approval of Resolution No. R2022-49 authorizes the mayor to enter into an agreement with the Department of State for the General Support Program Grant.
