ITEM: RESOLUTION NO. R2022-56 (ALCOHOL POLICY)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL ADOPTING A REVISED ALCOHOL RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY; REPEALING PRIOR RESOLUTIONS RELATING TO THE ALCOHOL RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

EXPLANATION: On June 22, 2004, Council adopted Resolution No. R2004-97 (attached) that established an Alcohol Risk Management Policy that governs the sale, possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages at Wellington parks and recreation facilities. Wellington has since amended its Code of Ordinances to remove outdated and unnecessary provisions. Staff has reviewed the Alcohol Risk Management Policy and has revised the policy to ensure consistency with the revised Code of Ordinances and to facilitate the continued use of Wellington facilities for public and private events where alcohol may be served, sold or consumed.
