EXPLANATION: The Information Technology Department is seeking authorization to:
1) Utilize a GSA contract with Consolidated Computing, Inc. as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of two (2) Datto Siris 5-48TB storage servers, and for Infinite Cloud Retention services for a total cost of $279,159.50. See breakdown below:
* Two (2) Datto Siris 5-48TB storage servers $32,031.50
* Datto Infinite Cloud Retention Services Years 1 - 3 $83,592.00
* GSA's Management cost $1,487.12
* Credit for the two (2) months of prepaid service ($5,135.12)
$279,159.50
This pricing reflects a three (3) year commitment to Datto service with a twelve (12) month prepay of $111,975.50. In addition, year 2 and year 3 will be billed at $83,592.00 for a total three year cost of $279,159.50.
The new Datto servers will increase the capacity of the existing servers, allow data backups to be streamed to cloud based storage and adds a level of disaster recovery, with the ability to spin up backups in the Cloud.
2) Dispose of existing surplus equipment (see below), which will be replaced by the purchase of the equipment listed above. All surplus equipment will be sold on GovDeals.com, the Village's contracted public auction website.
