EXPLANATION:  Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA) to amend the Wellington Future Land Use Map (FLUM) by adding the subject property to the map and giving it a land use designation of Community Facilities (CF).    

 

SUMMARY:                     The applicant is seeking to add the subject property to the onto the Wellington Future Land Use Map (FLUM) of the Comprehensive Plan to recognize its annexation and further requests a land use designation of Community Facilities (CF), which is the appropriate designation for properties occupied by public schools.  The property has been occupied by the Panther Run Elementary School since its construction in 1991, and there are no plans to make any changes to the site.

 

The applicant is also seeking a supportive rezoning.
