EXPLANATION: To combat human trafficking, the state of Florida has made strides in preventing the occurrence of human trafficking, prosecuting traffickers and dismantling criminal networks and protecting the victims; and the Village of Wellington recognizes the importance of educating its residents and employees and providing a better understanding of the key indicators through hosting Human Trafficking Awareness seminars in partnership with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Palm Beach County Human Trafficking Coalition.
