On August 11, 2023, Wellington released ITB #202323 on DemandStar and Wellington's website. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post. Work to be performed under this Contract includes furnishing all labor and materials necessary to construct a new Sodium Hypochlorite storage and feed system at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

The existing chlorine system is at the end of its useful life and is due for replacement. The replacement system designed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. will consist of three bulk sodium hypochlorite storage tanks within a containment structure, a canvas cover of the tanks, a chemical transfer system, and two regionalized feed systems. The proposed sodium hypochlorite system will be modernized to be a flow-paced system and relocated to a central location on the plant, reducing the amount of piping required for the system. The three tanks and regional system will allow for storage of higher concentrations of chlorine, effectively increasing the storage capacity of the syste...
