EXPLANATION: Staff is requesting authorization to:
1. Award a contract for the Big Blue Landscaping and Irrigation Project to Arazoza Brothers Corporation in the amount of $726,585.60.
The proposed project includes the installation of landscaping and an Irrigation system. The project is located along the Big Blue Trace Corridor between Paddock Drive and Wellington Trace. The contractor will be required to start construction from Paddock Drive and work to the South due to the proximity to Wellington Elementary School.
On February 26, 2024, Wellington released ITB #202407 on Demandstar seeking qualified bidders to provide such services. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On March 27, 2024, two (2) proposals were received.
