ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT WITH SULLIVAN ELECTRIC & PUMP, INC., FOR REPAIRS TO VARIOUS PUMPS AND MOTORS
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize a Palm Beach County contract with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc., as a basis for pricing, for pump and motor repairs for reclaimed pumps and other miscellaneous pumps in an amount not to exceed $75,000.

EXPLANATION: The Utility Department is seeking authorization to utilize a Palm Beach County contract for repairs of certain types of pumps and motors on an as needed basis. There are many pumps and motors of various sizes and types that are maintained by the Utility. These pumps and motors are critical to the Utility’s continuity of service.
On March 1, 2023, Palm Beach County awarded contract #23017 to Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. for irrigation pump stations and repair services. Palm Beach County recently exercised the first renewal option effective through March 2, 2025 with no price increases. The contract allows for three (3) additional twelve (12) month renewal options.
Staff is requesting authorization to utilize Palm Beach County contract #23017 as a basis for pricing, with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $75,000.
