A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO EXECUTE A FUEL CONTROL EQUIPMENT AGREEMENT WITH PALM BEACH COUNTY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2024-16 authorizing the execution of the Interlocal Agreement between the Village of Wellington and Palm Beach County to lease a fuel control equipment.

EXPLANATION: On January 27, 2009, through Resolution No. R2009-19, Council approved an Interlocal Agreement with Palm Beach County to lease a fuel control equipment that allows the Village to interface with the County’s Fleet Management Computer. The current agreement will expire on May 19, 2024.
The County and Village desire to continue leasing the equipment. Under the new agreement, as in the current, the County will continue to provide all normal maintenance service and parts at a cost of $304.00 per month. The County will also provide the Village with detailed monthly fuel consumption reports.
The term of the new agreement is for five (5) years and offers two (2) additional renewal terms of five (5) years each by mutual agreement.
