EXPLANATION: Freshman Carter Kassis, and Junior Daniel Robbert, students at Wellington Community High School, along with Seventh Grader Graham Kassis, student at Wellington Landings Middle School, have all been distinguished as Carson Scholars. The Carson Scholars Fund bestows $1,000 college scholarships to students from grades 4 through 11 who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to community service. Recipients are honored with the title of "Carson Scholars" and receive an Olympic-sized medal and a trophy for their school. Eligibility for this accolade requires a nomination from an educator, a minimum GPA of 3.75, and evidence of humanitarian efforts. Scholarships are allocated based on academic and humanitarian achievements, disregarding financial need, ethnicity, creed, or religion.

Eight Grader Eli Grave de Peralta, a student at Wellington Landings Middle School, received the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Year award for outstanding achievements, consistent attendance, and positive development in their program area, chosen by their respective teachers.

Doris Cabrera-Jerez, an employee at Wellington Elementary School, has been recognized as the 2024 School-Related Employee of the Year, an award highlighting exceptional educational support personnel for their skill and dedication.

Gail Pasterczyk, Principal at Elbridge Gale Elementary School, was awarded the Florida Tax Watch 2023-2024 Principal Leadership Award (PLA), honoring transformative leadership in high-risk K-12 public schools across Florida.
