REQUEST: Authorization to: 1) Award a contract to Aerex Industries, Inc. for the Water Treatment Plant Train 7 Buildout, in the amount of $69,900; 2) Award a sole source contract to Protec Arisawa America, Inc. for the purchase and delivery of train pressure vessels in the amount of $18,890.00.; and 3) Approve a change order to Aerex Industries, Inc for the New Nanofiltration Membranes project in the amount $98,746.09.

EXPLANATION: Staff is seeking authorization to:
1. Award a contract to Aerex Industries, Inc. for the Water Treatment Plant Train 7 Buildout, in the amount of $69,900. This project will expand Train 7 by .9 MGD. Expansion is necessary to meet plant demands and provide much needed redundancy.
On October 22, 2019 the Village released ITB #202003 on Demandstar, seeking qualified firms to provide construction services. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On November 13, 2019, the Village received one (1) bid from Aerex Industries, Inc. in the amount of $69,600. Aerex Industries, Inc. has been in business for 28 years and is well qualified to perform the work. Aerex Industries, Inc. was also the awardee on the New Nanofilration Membranes Project for Membrane Plants 1 & 2, which is currently in progress.
2. Award a sole source contract to Protec Arisawa America, Inc. for the purchase and delivery of the train pressure vessels in the amount of $18,890.00. These pressure vessels are required to expand Train 7. A sole source is required so that the existing pressure vessels are compatible with the new pressure vessels. The pressure vessels will be installed by Aerex Industries, Inc under this project.
