EXPLANATION: The Public Works and Utilities Departments currently contract with Gardenscapes of the Palm Beaches and Wellington Professional Lawn Care to provide landscape maintenance services for facilities, primary roads, utility sites, canals and equestrian trails. The current contracts expire September 2018. Wellington is currently paying $684,808.02 for these services.
On July 22, 2018, Wellington released ITB #021-18/DZ on Demandstar, seeking qualified firms to provide such services. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On August 22, 2018, three (3) proposals were received as summarized below:
