EXPLANATION: The Public Works, Utilities, and Engineering Departments utilize annual contracts for planned capital maintenance projects such as canal cleaning, installation of drainage pipe and structures, swale reconstruction and roadway and pathway base installation, as well as unscheduled emergency repair and maintenance projects.
The existing annual public works contracts are set to expire on January 14, 2021. On November 2, 2020, Wellington released ITB #202101, seeking qualified vendors to provide such services on Demandstar. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On December 1, 2020, eleven (11) proposals were received.
