A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ACME IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ABANDONING AN 18-FOOT WIDE PORTION OF A 25-FOOT WIDE MAINTENANCE EASEMENT, TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 1,208.4 SQUARE FEET, LOCATED WITHIN LOT 6, BLOCK 26, SUGAR POND MANOR OF WELLINGTON (13839 BARBERRY DRIVE), MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. AC2022-02 to vacate an 18-foot portion of a 25-foot wide Maintenance Easement, totaling approximately 1,208.4 square feet, located at 13839 Barberry Drive.

EXPLANATION: Alfonso and Karina Suarez, owners, are requesting to abandon an 18-foot wide portion of a 25-foot wide Maintenance Easement located at 13839 Barberry Drive. The purpose for the abandonment is to construct a pool and paver patio within the area proposed to be abandoned.
The Maintenance Easement was dedicated to the Acme Improvement District for lake/canal maintenance purposes and shall be abandoned by the Acme Board of Supervisors
The Engineering Services Department, Utility Department, and Planning Department have determined the requested abandonment is consistent with the public interest and will not adversely affect utility or maintenance access to other properties.
